Spinal cord injury and other neurodegenerative conditions are characterized by dysfunctional circuits in the brain and spinal cord. However, an understanding of those circuits largely remains elusive.
Our goal is to comprehensively characterize these circuits to understand how to modulate them to optimize neurological function.
With this understanding, we aim to develop novel neuromodulatory therapeutic approaches that can be translated into humans.
